Using Siemens’ Simatic Unified solution, Autexis has visualized all processes. The visualization and thus also the operation in automatic mode was implemented via recipe management. The recipes can be saved after creation and restored at any time. An intuitive and modular operating concept enables the operator to freely design and configure their workflows without the intervention of a programming device.

Using IO-Link sensors, the measuring points for temperature, pressure, etc. can be freely positioned. The high control and safety requirements are managed by a Simatic S7-1518F-4 CPU. The measurement data is recorded in high resolution and transmitted with a gateway to the Digital Factory Platform software for further processing. Through comprehensive digitalization, quality and efficiency in the processes can be maintained.

The concept aims for the highest possible energy efficiency. To achieve low power consumption, the braking energy is made available again to the drive power (recuperation). Since not only gearboxes in a wide power range, but also motor-gearbox combinations are tested, the system is designed modularly in terms of cost-effectiveness.
